Gmail Settings For Display Images. It seems that images are filtered at the server before email is downloaded in my laptop. Hotmail, outlook do not have issue displaying embedded images but gmail failed to display it.

If You Don't Like The New Feature, You Can Always Disable It In The Settings By Checking Ask Before Displaying External Content .

Gmail App > Settings > General Settings > Triple Dot Menu > Clear Picture Approvals.
Select the my settings icon. In the top right, tap your profile picture. Until you allow by sender, pictures won’t display automatically.
